Ever seen a cowboy on a pair of skis? What about race between gates against other Pro-Rodeo stars?
On January 19th over 100 cowboys will compete in The Cowboy Downhill in Steamboat for the fastest track record through gates on the face of Mount Werner. This tradition started 36 years ago and is one of the most anticipated events of the ski season here in Steamboat.
Gondola Square is the place to be starting at 2:00 where Sundog will be playing at the Bear River Bar and Grill. Bud Light will also have tents set up at the base of the gondola. Awards for the fastest cowboy begin at 5:30 in Gondola Square, and a FREE Bud Light concert featuring Reckless Kelly will follow. Come enjoy live music and awesome action as the cowboys round up and race down the hill yeeehaw!
